Yahoo! Customer Support
I thought of finding out alternatives for Yahoo Briefcase and not to my surprise there were many alternatives available. I am happy to say good by to Yahoo with these available options. If you are also looking for a file sharing option this post may be worth a glance. Below are few sites I found on the web and are good for sharing files over internet. There are few which don't force you to create a login which is nice sometimes when you are looking for a real quick peak. Here are the ones I found:
1. Microsoft Windows Skydrive (http://skydrive.live.com)
Its the best alternative I found till date. Microsoft provides 25 GB of free storage on Windows Live with SkyDrive, it's easy to store and share your files and photos with friends. If you have a Hotmail, Messenger, or Xbox LIVE account, you already have a Windows Live ID as well.
2. Rapid Share (http://rapidshare.com/ )
RapidShare, founded in 2006, is one of the biggest and fastest one-click file hosts in the world. With one-click hosting, users can upload big files in one step and subsequently make them available to friends and family via the download link. The download link can only be accessed by the person who has stored the file. In this way, data is secured against unauthorised access. It supports maximum upload size upto 200 MB.
3. zshare.net (http://www.zshare.net/ )
Its similar to Rapid Share and has Maximum upload size 500MB for free users and up to 1GB for registered users.
4. File Savr (http://www.filesavr.com/)
FileSavr's goal is to simplify the process of file hosting.
It provides fastest and easiest file hosting service as an alternative to sites like MegaUpload and RapidShare.
Unlike the other sites, It does not force users to sign up for paid accounts to download files, it does not show long countdown timers, pop up ads, or any other spam related activities. It supports maximum upload size upto 10GB.
5. File Dropper (http://www.filedropper.com/)
Similar site as filesavr with maximum upload capacity of 5GB.
6. File Factory (http://filefactory.com/)
Really fast uploads on this site, Upload up to 25 files at once. 300MB limit per file.
7. File Den (http://fileden.com/) - A 50mb maximum file size limit displays lots of ads everywhere.
8. File Qube (http://www.fileqube.com/) - You can store up to 2GB of files free.
9. MegaUpload -( http://www.megaupload.com/)
Free 200 GB online storage with file manager, With an irritating 25 seconds waiting time before downloads are available.
